Use a Registry cleaner to enhance Windows performance

First of all, why is the registry that important to the overall performance of windows? Windows Registry is a central database used by Windows to store the necessary data to configure the system for one or more users, applications, and hardware devices. The registry contains information that is constantly referenced during operation such as the applications and drivers installed on the computer, profiles for each user, and the types of documents each user create, property sheet settings for folders and application icons, what hardware exists on the system; and which ports are being used. Windows registry is a vital part of Windows, if it is damaged; your whole system may be corrupted and crash finally.

It is very important for you to mind what goes on with your registry as operations mount every time you use your PC. The registry keeps growing with invalid entries, missing short cut links and errors leave by software installations, uninstallations and their updates. As it does so, it attracts obsolete and unnecessary information, and gradually becomes cluttered and fragmented. The performance of windows degrades with these growing of redundant data in the registry.

Why you need a registry cleaner and what Registry Cleaner can do for you? A registry cleaner backup and restore the Registry with ease as it is integrated seamlessly with the windows restore point. It lets you backup and restores the Registry with ease. The registry cleaner uses the restore point to create the snapshots of your Windows registry before making changes to your system or installing new applications, and gain confidence that you will be able to restore your previous system configuration if things go wrong!  A registry cleaner performs a comprehensive scan and re-scan usability checks of the Registry entries and keys to ensure integrity.

Registry Cleaner checks also checks for the missing or incomplete entries for the COM/ActiveX controls, uninstall entries, shared DLLs, application paths, and correct the errors for you. It has startup organizer that allows the user control over programs at windows startup and ones to disallow. The registry cleaner comes with the internet explorer BHO organizer (Browser Helper Objects (BHO) organizer) allowing users to manage plugins where they will be able to remove unwanted ad-ons to the browser. The user has the control over home page settings, adware, spyware and pop launchers with this utility present.

The Registry Cleaner and Task Manager as a windows management tool

The windows task manager is one of the tools afforded the windows user to manage and control processes, threads and programs. It is a good tool to use as first step in checking the main computing resources – the processor and the memory. When your computer slows down, the Ctrl-Alt-Del button brings up the task manager to afford you quickly the culprit responsible. It shows which process or program in Vista windows that are gulping processors and or memory resources.

First of all, look at the task manager to see whether the computing resources for memory and processor are adequate. The ram or the processor or both. To check for the ram usage on the task manager press ctrl alt del button and check the commit charge on the status bar if the for instance the system has a 512 memory the page file size will be 1053 or more if the commit charge always read 800 to 900/1053 then it is time for you to upgrade your ram. If the CPU usage is always over 70% it is time for you to increase your processing power.

One way you can speed up your computer is to prevent programs from launching themselves at start-up. Not only do the unwanted programs delay the start of Windows, they also continue to slow down your computer since they use system resources.
When a processor and the memory resources of your windows are heavily tasked, it is a likely failover for the registry system. As the memory try to use the page or swap file to augment for space, entries are made to the registries which later becomes redundant and end cluttering the registry database. A Registry Cleaner basically scans the Windows registry and finds invalid and obsolete information in it.

By fixing these obsolete entries in Windows registry, Registry Cleaner software makes your system run faster and error free. The backup and restore function of the tool lets you backup your whole Windows Registry so you can use it to restore the registry to the current status in case you encounter system failure. Besides above, the startup and Internet Explorer BHO organizer features let you manage your startup and browser items with ease, and you can control the programs started with Windows and IE more easily with this feature.

Most of all system issues and errors are easily traced back to registry errors. When you're running your PC on a Windows operating system, chances are, your computer has these errors. If your computer runs on a Windows OS, you have more than a 80% chance of having multiple registry errors. Those errors can cause serious problems with PC performance and can even result in fatal system crashes.

Registry Errors - How to correct them

Windows errors are often from the registry systems which mostly are generated from invalid entries and missing links they tend to get worse if not attended to early enough. These errors can cause a fatal system error. It's much easier to simply address the registry errors as they occur, to arrest fatal consequences that can easily crash the system.

Missing short cut links, invalid DLL entries and updates errors are common windows errors users are usually confronted with. Also errors are generated from the registry each time hardware drivers are corrupted, when software is incorrectly removed from the system, when invalid program shortcuts are left on your hard drive, or when dozens of other problems occur in daily computing. All these activities slow and degrade the computer performance.

These errors are not advised to be manually corrected if the user is not an advance windows user or a windows expert. Manual fixing of Registry errors are very delicate, as wrong editing of the keys and entries can crash the system. As a windows expert, I have encountered blue screen of death thrice when I wrongfully edited a Registry key. I have to implement a restore point for the windows on one of the occasion.

Many third party Registry management tools abound today with many of them having an extensive database of known registry errors. They can scan your registry and flags the problematic entries, using the scanning and precision utilities to find the bad and leave the good in place. These help to restore your PC to peak operating performance. They should be able to optimize your PC’s Registry by preventing system crashes and conducting high-performance scans couple. They also come with a sound registry backup system integrated seamlessly to the windows restore system. These are basically common errors associated with the registry.

  1. ActiveX Errors
  2. Blue Screen Errors
  3. Windows Startup and Installer Errors
  4. Windows Explorer Errors
  5. Windows Media player Errors
  6. lsass.exe, svchost.exe & other exe Errors
  7. DLL and runtime Errors
A good Registry Cleaner with utilities to address the above errors can safely identify and repair registry problems. It checks the integrity of every section of your Windows registry, from application path keys and Windows font keys, to ActiveX keys and shared DLL keys. It fixes all of these problems, and makes your computer faster and more stable.
